Promoting Animal Welfare (P.A.W.) is a club that was established at Glen A. Wilson High School in 2010. Our goal is to benefit the lives of animals through means of fundraising, recruiting volunteers, raising awareness of animal rights, hosting donation drives and adoption events. We work closely with the staff of Baldwin Park Animal Shelter, in attempts to find loving forever homes for all the pets left behind. Due to its high intake rate and overcrowding, Baldwin Park Animal Shelter is considered a “high kill” shelter, which means that they are forced to practice euthanasia on animals that do not find homes in time. In efforts to reduce the euthanasia rate, P.A.W. has been working hard with the Baldwin Park Shelter staff to host monthly adoption events at local pet stores and parks. We will be updating the tumblr periodically about all of our upcoming events, so be sure to click the follow button!
